Cetera’s Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer Celebrated as Eisenhower Fellow
Chantalle Couba recognized for efforts to explore solutions on how organizations can better support women
October 17, 2021 - LOS ANGELES — Cetera, one of the industry's largest networks of financial professionals, today recognizes Chantalle Couba for the completion of her Eisenhower Fellowship. Named for America’s 34th president, the Eisenhower Fellowship program brings together innovative leaders to tackle significant challenges and create positive change in the world. Since 1953, nearly 2,400 mid-career leaders from 115 countries have been selected to participate in the fellowship program.
Couba was selected to participate in the program for her exemplary leadership and commitment to the Eisenhower Fellowship’s mission of making the world more just, peaceful, and prosperous. As a 2019 USA Eisenhower Fellow, she researched and studied the intersectionality of female leaders’ personal and professional experiences. Her work produced valuable insights about the demands and obstacles that women in these roles face, and contributed to the development of innovative and practical solutions that improve both performance and quality of life.
For decades, the Eisenhower Fellowship Program has sent outstanding ascendant American leaders overseas to learn best practices that they can then apply to their communities when they return home. These leaders from across the United States travel to Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, and the Middle East, broadening their horizons and expanding their approaches to problem-solving as they pursue individual projects.
“The invaluable gifts of this experience include learning to harness the power of public and private partnerships, experiencing the revitalizing power of generosity among global leaders, and gaining a lifelong network of change agents to both call upon and support,” said Ms. Couba.
Bringing the extraordinary experience and achievement from her fellowship, as well as her professional experience in wealth and risk management strategy and advisory, Couba joined Cetera earlier this year as Cetera’s Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO. In addition, she serves as the organization's Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer, where she leads the firm's strategy and implementation initiatives in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB). She’s currently leveraging her industry and research acumen, and lived experience to guide Cetera's multi-faceted, multi-year DEIB program.
In addition to her leadership position at Cetera, Couba is a Board Member of Inroads, a non-profit organization founded to address the lack of ethnic diversity in corporate America.
“The Cetera family congratulates Chantalle on the completion of her fellowship,” said Cetera Chief Executive Officer Adam Antoniades. “It’s been a privilege to see her talent and perspective at work within the Cetera organization, and we’re proud to see her passion for creating new pathways for women extend to the communities we serve and the world-at-large as part of her work with the Eisenhower team.”
